The Earnest money as per covering note shall be in the form of bank draft payable at New <strong>Delhi</strong> infavour of <strong>Delhi</strong> <strong>Transco</strong> <strong>Limited</strong> be deposited with the quotations. Quotation without the requisiteamount of Earnest money is liable for rejection.2. (a) In the event of failure of the bidder to start the work within a period as specified in the Letter ofIntent issued to him, the entire E/Money deposited by him shall be forfeited and acceptance of hisquotation withdrawn unless the period is extended by mutual agreement.(b The successful contractor will have to execute the work order agreement within a period of 7 daysfrom the issue of Letter of Intent otherwise the entire E/Money deposited by him shall be forfeitedand acceptance of his quotation withdrawn, unless the period is extended by mutual agreement.(c) The terms and conditions, as specified in the quotation, shall be in force till such time it is replacedby a work order agreement.3. Bidders are requested to quote their rates in figures as well as in words at the end of schedule ofquotation attached with the quotations.4. The quotations of the work shall remain open for acceptance for a period of 4 months from the date ofopening of the quotations.5. The relevant CPWD specifications with correction slips up to date for the works at <strong>Delhi</strong> inforce/adopted unless otherwise stated by the Department. Wherever applicable, relevant B.I.S. Codeswill also be referred to.6. The work will have to be completed within the time schedule as given in the covering note, to bereckoned from the date as mentioned in the Letter of Intent, failing which the contractor shall be liableto pay as compensation an amount equal to 1% or such smaller amount as the Engineer-in-charge maydecide on the said estimated cost of the whole work for every day's delay but not exceeding 10% on thevalue of the work estimated.7. The person/persons whose quotation may be accepted (here in after called the contractor) shall permitDTL, at the time of making any payment to him for work done under the contract to deduct such sum asalong with the sum already deposited as E/Money amounting to 10% if the amount of work done asSecurity Deposit. The same will be released after the completion of the guarantee period which will be 6months from the date of acceptance of the complete work of the contractor by the Engineer-in-charge.No claim shall be entertained against the owner on account of interest of Earnest Money/SecurityDeposit. Contractor can also submit Fixed Deposit Receipt of Scheduled bank in lieu of security depositto be deducted and further to be refunded in case of no complaint after the expiry of guarantee period onrequest of contractor.8. It would be preferable for the contractors to see the site of work before quoting their bid/offer.9. (a) The competent authority reserves the right to reject any or all the quotations without assigning anyreason thereof.(b) Conditional quotations are liable to be rejected.The theoretical consumption of cement shall be based on CPWD Schedule of rates, 2002. Over thistheoretical quantity of cement a variation upto + 3% shall be allowed. The contractor shall procure 43grade (confirming to IS:8112) ordinary Portland cement as required in the work from reputedmanufactures of cement, having a production capacity on one million tones per annum or more such asA.C.C., L&T.J.K, Vikram, Shri Cement, Birla, Cement Corporation of India, Gujarat Ambuja Cementand Rajasthan Ambuja Cement etc. as approved by Ministry of Industry, Govt. of India, holding Licenseto use ISI certification mark for their product whose name shall be got approved from Engineer-incharge.Supply of cement shall be taken in 50kg bags bearing manufacture's name and ISI marking.
