He is theproprietor of the Gougane Barra Hotel. The Investigator,Mr. Daly, who took this statement, told me that Mr. Croninappeared to have a very good memory and to have a vividrecollection of the events in his area. He, Mr. Daly,said that the witness was recommended to him by JohnHarrington, a battalion officer (who is now an invalid),as a man whose evidence as to events in the Ballingearyarea should be on record.
