Echeverria<strong>of</strong> Ecuador ’01; Mary Wambui <strong>of</strong> Kenya ‘05; and Jing Li <strong>of</strong> China ’05 sharedinspirational stories about <strong>the</strong>ir careers and accomplishments. The evening servedas a great opportunity <strong>for</strong> students to ask questions and <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> panelists to sharevaluable advice and tips on finding employment in <strong>the</strong> USA.JOB AND INTERNSHIP POSTINGSThe CDC has been developing new ways to expand our services and outreach,including social media strategies and a job/internship posting campaign. As newpositions come in every day, we highlight a few that we consider excellentopportunities <strong>for</strong> student and alumni. We <strong>the</strong>n share <strong>the</strong>se positions with <strong>the</strong>community on our Facebook (/<strong>SNHU</strong>CareerDevelopment) and Twitter(@<strong>SNHU</strong>CareerCtr) pages with <strong>the</strong> hash tag #Spotlight. Throughout <strong>the</strong> summer wewill develop <strong>the</strong> means to take this initiative one step fur<strong>the</strong>r. We are creating anemail system where opportunities will be sent weekly to <strong>the</strong> inboxes <strong>of</strong> our facultyand staff to share with students. We encourage you to keep an eye out <strong>for</strong> emailsas we continue to develop this initiative.FAREWELL TO CHANCESadly, our last announcement is saying farewell to one <strong>of</strong> our own. AssociateDirector, Chance Clutter, is leaving <strong>SNHU</strong> at <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> May to take on a newposition in his home state as a career counselor at <strong>the</strong> University <strong>of</strong> Kansas. “It is avery bittersweet moment <strong>for</strong> me,”said Chance. “After 5+ years at<strong>SNHU</strong>, I’ve had <strong>the</strong> pleasure <strong>of</strong>working with a lot <strong>of</strong> great students,faculty, and staff and that iswhat I will miss most <strong>of</strong> all.” Pleasejoin us in wishing Chance <strong>the</strong> best<strong>of</strong> luck in his new adventure! This isa time when Honorsstudents present <strong>the</strong>research that <strong>the</strong>y havebeen working on. Dr.Andrew Martino, <strong>the</strong>director <strong>of</strong> <strong>SNHU</strong>’s four yearHonors program,encourages his seniors tosubmit to <strong>the</strong> North EastRegional HonorsConference. The UniversityHonors Program at <strong>SNHU</strong> iscommitted to increasingour presence at <strong>the</strong>regional Honorsconference. Last year wehad two students present<strong>the</strong>ir work, and this year wehad three: Nicole Escobar,Danielle Dalton, and NicoleFaille! Both years saw ourstudents stand out from <strong>the</strong>rest in scholarly contentand overall pr<strong>of</strong>essionalism.Each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m presented<strong>the</strong>ir 401 projects at <strong>the</strong>conference in Baltimore,Maryland. We would like tocongratulate <strong>the</strong> seniorsnot only <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong>irpresentations at <strong>the</strong>conference, but <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong>ircontributions to <strong>the</strong> HonorsProgram.
