Mohan-MalaMarch 27From the standpoint of pure Truth, the body too is a possession. It has beentruly said, that desire for enjoyment creates bodies for the soul. When thisdesire vanishes, there remains no further need for the body, and man is freefrom the vicious circle of births and deaths.YM, Chap. VIMarch 28How beautiful it would be, if all of us, men and women, devoted ourselveswholly to Truth in all that we might do in our waking hours, whether working, eating, drinking, or playing, till dissolution of the body makes us one withTruth?YM, Chap, IMarch 29Where there is no Truth, there can be no true knowledge. That is why the wordChit or knowledge is associated with the name of God. And where there is atrue knowledge, there is always bliss (Ananda). Sorrow has no place there. Andeven as Truth is eternal, so is bliss derived from it. Hence we know God as Satchit-ananda,one who combines in Himself Truth, Knowledge and Bliss.YM, 30 July 1931March 30Silence is a great help to a seeker after truth. In the attitude of silence the soulfinds the path in a clearer light and what crystal cleanness. Our life is along andarduous quest after Truth, and the soul requires inward restfulness to attain itsfull height.H, 10 Dec. 1938www.mkgandhi.org Page 25
