CHANGE- it’s time to get the answersPart 5Mr. Kedar Mukherjee, B. Tech., 8 th Sem.‘WHYs’ seem to occupy most of the space in each of our mindsets. These questions or ‘WHYs’ makesome people in our history feel uncomfortable. Even today most of these questions when asked, endup in slapping charges against you in form of violations of RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH,EXPRESSION and other absurd concepts whose specific limitations no one is really aware of. These SOCALLED NATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION or MINORITYCOMMISSION actually act as a tool which is either used to settle political scores asBEHENJI (Miss Mayawati) did by mindlessly invoking NSA against Varun Gandhi, whogot catapulted instantly from recognition to fame for a HATE SPEECH which he denies of(Would a LOVE SPEECH by Varun made us to realize that there are many more Gandhi’s?We really LOVE to HATE and HATE to LOVE) or simply hide tainted facts of historywhich otherwise would tarnish many of our ICONIC personalities wrapped in designerwears ranging from KHADIS to JAWAHAR COATS. Some of these NOT ALLOWEDTO ASK questions are:Q: Whether Qaid-e-Azam M.A.JINNAH was the sole personresponsible for Partition of BRITISH INDIA and one of thedeadliest carnage in human history that followed killing about anestimated half a million people besides many other inhuman actsagainst women and children? Doesn’t the POSTINDEPENDENCE INDIANIZED version of history hide manyof the vices of our then to be POWER HUNGRY leaders?Q: What happened to Subhash Chandra Bose? How did hedisappear? (After all how can one disappear all of a sudden?Everyone knows he wasn’t heading for BERMUDA TRIANGLE.)Why aren’t any investigation report regarding his death labeled assatisfactory? Was he really spotted in Siberian jails in the early seventies? (If so, who’s that historicalculprit who reaped the benefits of his PSEUDO DEATH?)Q: What were the ground reasons of imposing EMERGENCY by Mrs. Indira Gandhi? On what pretext canthis sabotage of democracy and basic human rights be justified?Q: Why no steps are being taken for implementation of UNIFORM CIVIL CODE throughout the country?(By not doing so isn’t the phrase EQUALITY BEFORE LAW a blatant lie?)Q: If Shimla agreement and Lahore declarations are openly violated by Pakistanthen till date why no thought is being paid to the matter of gaining back thecontrol of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and then conduct a plebiscite aspromised.And the final one is for us:Q: When will we stop surviving in RELIGIOUS GHETTOES and live togetherHAPPILY EVER AFTER?
