Applicants who, as of the 31st December 2011, have spent at least five years in an area with an Australian Standard GeographicClassification – Remoteness Areas (ASGC-RA) of AGS - RA 2-5 − since beginning primary school are eligible to apply under the RuralBackground Entry Pathway. The five-year time frame is based on the location of a candidate‟s primary residence. International Students and the UMAT, or alternative.Many Universities do not require full-fee paying International students to sit the UMAT, or other Tests. Those that do are shown in the table below below.However those who are applying for residency or citizenship would be wise to do so.
