PVN MAR 2008 26/2/08 16:13 Page 5PEMBURY PAVILIONON THURSDAY 7 February, <strong>Pembury</strong> Parish Council formally handed over <strong>the</strong> newlybuilt pavilion in Lower Green Recreation Ground to <strong>the</strong> Management Committee whowill take over running <strong>the</strong> facility.The pavilion, for community and junior football use, is <strong>the</strong> result of a great partnershipbetween <strong>Pembury</strong> AthleticYouth Football Club and <strong>the</strong>Parish Council; it attracted amassive Football Foundationgrant of £386,000 as well aspublic grants, including from<strong>Pembury</strong> Parish Council.The official opening will be onSaturday 3 May and an OpenDay will be held on Sunday4 May when members of <strong>the</strong>public can come along and havea look at <strong>the</strong> splendid newpavilion.
