Mechanical and Optical FeaturesFull Reflector OpticsHigh performance at Kim standards is essential for any of thecompany’s new product introductions, and Wall Commander certainly meets this criterion. Manufactured at Kim Lighting’sCalifornia facilities, Wall Commander features a highly engineereddie-cast reflector module optimized for output, cutoff, and efficiency.Smooth specular side panels produce high angle maximumcandlepower and sharp cutoff. A specular peened upper reflectorspreads light into the mid-range, gradually increasing the intensitytoward higher angles while avoiding any low angle reflections. At low angles, bare lamp illumination is more than adequate and theelimination of downward reflecting surfaces greatly increasesuniformity. The result is an optical system worthy of bearing theKim Lighting name.Multiple Light Distribution and Configuration OptionsWith Wall Commander, you can choose up only, down only,or up/down configurations to meet almost any lighting requirement. With 43 distinct distribution combinations, along with other housingoptions, there is certainly a Wall Commander that can be configuredto fit your unique requirements.Forgiving Field Changeable OpticsWall Commander offers unprecedented control in the field tochange out reflector modules and meet construction changes asthey occur, before and after installation. This flexibility provides alevel of comfort to the designer in that a single housing type can beutilized to meet several different distribution configurations, allowingthe designer the option to change a reflector module at any time. Please note that up only and down only reflector modules must beused in up only or down only housings of the same size. Up/downreflector modules are only interchangeable within up/down housingsof the same size.Premium Reflector Construction and MaterialsEach reflector type is a self-contained module with completeinterchangeability within the same housing type. The segmentedreflector panels are precision formed specular aluminum protectedby the Alzak process. Types II, III, and IV utilize one-piece die-castshells. The module hinges open for ballast access and snaps outfor ease of fixture mounting.Easy Access• Tool-less entry with thumb latchretention system• Hinged reflector module andlens frame assemblies• Tool-less reflector removal withslip hinge and ball latchTrouble-Free Maintenance• Tool-less access reducesexpensive relamping time• Totally sealed optical chamberkeeps out moisture, insects, and airborne contaminants tomaintain lighting performance• Optional wireguard helpsprevent debris buildup andprotects against vandalismDesign coordinatedlensed and blankenclosure framesOne-pieceelectrical module8 KIM LIGHTING
