Edward SellChair in Lay at the University of Pittsburgh.He has a new book, “Three Tastesof Nuoc Mam — The Brown Water Navyand Visits to Vietnam” (Hellgate Press).The book recounts Douglas’ year in combatin Vietnam and homecoming to Daytonand law school at Northwestern. Thebook also recounts two subsequent returnsto Vietnam, first in 1995, and the second in2011. It also contains other insights aboutmodern Vietnam.John Burns ‘62 attended school at the Universityof Dayton, Berkley, and EdisonState. He worked at UPS for 22 years and16 years as an officer with the TeamstersUnion, where he retired as President/PrincipleOfficer. After 38 years of service, Johnretired in 2007. Since then he has split histime between his home in Troy and IndianLake where he enjoys spending timewith his wife of 43 years, Laurie; his sonJosh (Amy) and granddaughter, Allison; hisdaughter Meghan (Bill Heater) and granddaughters,Abbey and Avery. John alsoenjoys all of the good times with the manyfriends who gather at his rec room bar, aka“”J. Brown Libraryin Williamsport, Pa.Rich Dineen ‘64 and classmate, Mike Caporal ‘64(left), recently reconnected for a trip toAlaska with their wives Ginger and Susan.Mike is retired from his successful dentalpractice in Charlotte, N.C. and Rich recentlyretired following a 34-year career asa senior executive officer in banking anda second career of 10 years as director ofauxiliary fundraising for Cincinnati Children’sHospital Medical Center.Joseph Githens ‘64 writes, “Bruce Grahamand I were at the Milton Club listening tothe sounds of the Kettering Banjo Band,when we met a former <strong>Chaminade</strong> teacher,Alex DiNino. Alex said some of hisbest teaching years were at <strong>Chaminade</strong>,then he transitioned to the public schoolsystem. He retired in July 2006 after 45years of teaching as Superintendent of<strong>School</strong>s for Mad River Local.
