Annals of General Hospital Psychiatry 2003, 2http://www.general-hospital-psychiatry.com/content/2/1/2Figure 1Effect of diagnosis on the mean score on the Janis and Field Social Adequacy scale. This figure shows that feelings of social adequacyvary widely between different diagnostic groups. Control patients had the highest scores, and the highest self-esteem,with this measure. Dual diagnoses patients with Major Depressive Disorder ("MDD") had significantly lower scores, as didpatients with a single diagnosis of Eating Disorders, Dysthymia, and MDD. The differences between groups that reached statisticalsignificance are given in the text.Page 4 of 9(page number not for citation purposes)
