The project has beenawarded to C&R Mechanical, with workscheduled to begin in mid-May.The 2011 Fund-A-Need at the OdysseyAuction was earmarked for a faceliftof the De Smet Jesuit Emerson Lobby.Thank you to all who contributed to theproject, which is funded and is expectedto be completed by June. New carpetand seating areas, along with upgradeddisplay cases for student art work, newpaint and flat screen TVs to display variousannouncements will help in makingthe lobby more aesthetically pleasing toDe Smet Jesuit students and visitors.Another area of the schoolreceiving a makeover is thehallway outside of the cafeteria,which will be renovatedinto the De Smet Hall of Fame.Cement block walls will becovered, and portraits createdby Rob Dreyer ‘76 of each ofthe Hall of Famers will be hungon drywall bump-outs, allowingthe portraits to stand outmore.
