The oxygen dosingis variable allowing <strong>for</strong> optimal reaction of different sample typesand the most economic usage of the combustion reactors.Tin capsules used <strong>for</strong> sample introduction combust in an exothermicreaction reaching a temperature of up to 1800°C <strong>for</strong> a fewseconds. Nitrous oxides which may be <strong>for</strong>med during combustionare reduced by Cu to N 2 .After removal of H 2 O, the N 2 , CO 2 and SO 2 are separated on anisothermal GC column and the 15 N/ 14 N, 13 C/ 12 C and 34 S/ 32 S isotoperatios are measured sequentially.
