other Electives ‘Understanding China's Macroeconomicsand International Relations’ and/or ’Global StrategicManagement and Cross Culture Management’ The learning process is designed to stimulate proactiveparticipation by students, who will be required to researchinto and present their findings on individual case studies.The class will be pre-divided into small teams. Each teamas a group is expected to make Powerpoint presentationson a number of allotted Cases and to work up aComprehensive Written Analysis project on a selectedCase, employing the strategic management tools leant.Each team is expected to respond to questions, commentsand critiques by their peers during the class, subject to theguidance of the professor. About half of each class session is devoted to a lectureexploring the ideas and concepts covered in the Syllabusand the other half to student presentations and discussionof Case Studies. Normally there will be a written essay-style FinalExamination to consolidate and test the knowledge andunderstanding gained. Each student is assessed according to his/her (a) classperformance (b) Comprehensive Written Analysis projectand (c) written Final Examination in equal proportion.
