In 2000 and 2001, Hall put the Eagles onthe national map with their first two invitations to the NCAA IITournament in the 27-year history of the program.Under his direction, USI was the 2003-04 GLVCAll-Sports and Commissioner’s Cup winner andhost of the 2004 NCAA Division II CrossCountry National Championships.In addition to his duties as director of Athletics,Hall also is the chair of the NCAA Division IImen’s and women’s tennis committee. He hasserved on the Great Lakes Valley Conference Executive Committeeand the NCAA II Great Lakes Regional women’s basketball committee.Hall joined the USI Athletic Department in 1995 as an assistantathletic director and men’s tennis coach.As the men’s tennis coach, no one did it better in the GLVC thanHall. He was named the GLVC Coach of the Year five times, directedthe Screaming Eagles to four GLVC regular-season titles and GLVCTournament crowns, and had a 123-47 record (.724).During his final season as head coach, Hall led the Eagles to their thirdstraight appearance in the NCAA II Tournament and their first victoryHall came to USI after his appointment at the University of SouthCarolina-Spartanburg as an assistant athletic director, where he was theNCAA compliance coordinator, oversaw the academic support serviceprogram for student athletes, and coordinated the Athletes Can Educate(ACE) program.
