WelcomeWelcome to a new issue of Clarion and Beyond. This issue reflects a combination ofClarion! Magazine and the old Clarion and Beyond. We’re combining the best aspects ofboth publications into a new package. Costs of printing and postage led us to the decisionto combine the two publications to better use our resources. We hope you enjoy the addedfeature stories to let you know how the university and its alumni are doing. And don’tforget to let us know what is going on in your life and any suggestions you might have forfuture issues. As one who has witnessed many changes in these pages over the last 28years, we are glad that we are able to continually improve the publication and help spreadpride in Clarion and its people.Ron Wilshire ’72, ‘743330 20 3623 16 28Clarionand BeyondMagazinePresidentDr. Joseph GrunenwaldExecutive Editor:Ron WilshireCo-Editors:Paul HambkeTom SchottRich Herman (sports)Design:Scott Kane/PAGESContributors:Ashley CallChris RossettiTom SchottColleen WilliamsPhotographers:Pete HartleJerry SowdenFront CoverNanotechnology, a ClarionUniversity bright spot, and otherfeature stories are highlighted inthis issue.Back Cover:Get set for a Clarion Extravaganzato support scholarships.Address comments and questions to:Clarion and Beyond MagazineUniversity RelationsClarion UniversityClarion, PA 16214E-mail address: rwilshire@clarion.eduVisit Clarion University on the Web athttp://www.clarion.edu.Clarion and Beyond is publishedthree times a year for alumni, familiesof current students, and friends ofClarion University.
