One family, the Reillys, began a tirelesscrusade to save the remaining species and restorethose that were lost. Their determination andperseverance led to the establishment of three National<strong>Park</strong>s and the beginning of wildlife conservation inSwaziland. Elephants, black and white rhino and manyother species are now thriving due to their efforts.Tampa’s <strong>Lowry</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>Zoo</strong> provides support to helpthe people of Swaziland and the Reilly’s with theirconservation mission.Unique and exclusive to this departure, you’ll visit oneof the parks established by the Reillys, learn moreabout their efforts fi rst-hand, and see where some ofthe African elephants at Tampa’s <strong>Lowry</strong> <strong>Park</strong> <strong>Zoo</strong>come from.Dr. Killmar has spent the past 35 years traveling the worldincluding traveling to Africa more than 20 times. He joined Tampa’s <strong>Lowry</strong> <strong>Park</strong><strong>Zoo</strong> in 2007, where he continues as a member of theConservation Breeding Specialist Group of The InternationalUnion Conservation of Nature and The American <strong>Zoo</strong> andAquarium Association.
