"Une entreprise dans votre lycée", Académie de Rennes (France)All secondary education institutions <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Academy <strong>of</strong> Rennes can participate in thisprogramme, including public and private schools (lycées) in comprehensive, technical andpr<strong>of</strong>essional education.A competition takes place each year in May with ten teams <strong>of</strong> students (12 students per teamon average) from <strong>the</strong> institutions <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Academy <strong>of</strong> Rennes, before a jury composed <strong>of</strong>pr<strong>of</strong>essionals. Each team in <strong>the</strong> competition presents <strong>the</strong> company that it has created inschool, by reproducing and developing <strong>the</strong> conditions <strong>of</strong> start-up and operation <strong>of</strong> a realcompany.Training <strong>of</strong> teachers is ensured by <strong>the</strong> Rectorat and by <strong>the</strong> Chamber <strong>of</strong> Commerce andIndustry. Quality Partnerships are built with local companies in order to give young people<strong>the</strong>ir support in form <strong>of</strong> sponsorship, advice and collaboration.From a product or service idea, students are associated in creating <strong>the</strong>ir own company.They lodge <strong>the</strong>ir file with a committee made up <strong>of</strong> representatives <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> partners <strong>of</strong> thisaction. After <strong>the</strong> administrative and legal setting up <strong>of</strong> a fictitious company, <strong>the</strong> projectpromoters share responsibilities and tasks within a precise flow-chart: market research andcompetition, registering <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> company name with <strong>the</strong> INPI, creation <strong>of</strong> a logo, technicaldevelopment, negotiations with <strong>the</strong> suppliers or subcontractors, marketing, and sales, etc.During <strong>the</strong> closing day, which involves all <strong>the</strong> participants, each company has to present areview through a company stand and an oral presentation before a jury made up <strong>of</strong>representatives <strong>of</strong> partners and <strong>of</strong> heads <strong>of</strong> company. The three best companies are awarded aprize by <strong>the</strong> regional council.This programme enables a team <strong>of</strong> young people to come toge<strong>the</strong>r around a project. Itimplements teaching methods which contribute to <strong>the</strong> development <strong>of</strong> pupils' autonomy and to<strong>the</strong>ir opening-up to <strong>the</strong> economic environment. Examples show that, in a number <strong>of</strong> cases,young people have finally put into practice <strong>the</strong>ir project <strong>of</strong> enterprise creation, while in o<strong>the</strong>rcases particularly innovative and reliable projects have been developed by local partnerenterprises.Contact:Académie de Rennesce.daet@ac-rennes.fr3.6.
