Item #3-1Public Comments - Proposed Revenue RegulationsMr. John Wetlaufer, Sr., Mechanicsville, Virginia, who represented the Virginia Anglers Club,spoke regarding fishing license fee.Mr. Peter Easter, who represented the Virginia Hunting Preserve Association, spoke regardinghunting fee increase.Ms. Jenny West, Norge, Virginia, who represented the Wildlife Foundation of Virginia, spokeregarding the license fee increase.Mr. Dave Burpee, Springfield, Virginia, who represented the Virginia Bow Hunters Association,spoke regarding fee increases.Mr. Steve Fritton spoke on the topic of Turkey season license fees.Mr. Kevin Carroll, Chesterfield, Virginia. Mr. Carroll did not speak.Mr. Denny Quaiff, Chesterfield Virginia, who represented the Virginia Deer HuntersAssociation, spoke regarding deer hunting regulations and license fee increases.Mr. Leon Boyd, Vansant, Virginia, spoke regarding the Finance and Audit Committee.Ms. Kathy Funk, Greenville, Virginia, who represented the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation,spoke regarding the postponing of Elk Release.Mr. Keith Wilt, Bergton, Virginia, spoke regarding license fees.The Chairman thanked everyone for their attendance and comments at today's meeting.The Chairman called for any additional questions and discussion from the Board.The Chairman called on Mr. Yates for comments regarding 4 VAC15-20 -65. Mr. Yatesmade a motion to amend the staff's recommendation to exempt the Public Access Landsfor Sportsmen Permit to Hunt, Trap, or Fish on Designated Lands from the MiscellaneousLicenses or Permits to Hunt (also listed under Miscellaneous Licenses or Permits to Fish)from the proposed fee increase and retain the current price. Motion Seconded by: Reed.Ayes: Pollard, Colgate, Caruso, Burton, Turner, Reed, Kozuch, Yates, Clarke, Hazel andMontgomery.The Chairman called for motions to adopt the Revenue Recommendations as presented by staffand amended by the Board. Mr. Clarke made the following motion:4VAC15-20-66 Use fee at certain department-owned facilitiesMr. Chairman:I move the Board adopt the Staff’s recommendation on the regulation amendments for ause fee at certain department-owned facilities.
