USASOCIn December 2001 at the Special OperationsMedical Association meeting in Tampa(www.soma.org), the USASOC surgeon's office presenteda day of lectures and discussions on unconventionalwarfare medicine entitled: "MedicalUnconventional Warfare Doctrine for the 21stCentury: Guerrilla & Resistance Medicine &Hospitals."Although we had conceived doing thismany months before 11 September 2001, it wasright on target and sort of eerie to be talking on thissubject at the same time that Special Forces teamswere DOING unconventional warfare medicine onthe ground for the first time in a long time.
