S<strong>in</strong>ce the Coop <strong>in</strong>corporated<strong>in</strong> 1977, we have been legally required to have aBoard of Directors. The Coop cont<strong>in</strong>ued the tradition ofGeneral Meet<strong>in</strong>gs by requir<strong>in</strong>g the Board to have openmeet<strong>in</strong>gs and to receive the advice of the members atGeneral Meet<strong>in</strong>gs. The Board of Directors, which isrequired to act legally and responsibly, has approvedalmost every General Meet<strong>in</strong>g decision at the end ofevery General Meet<strong>in</strong>g. Board members are elected atthe Annual Meet<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> June.
