PLANNING YOUR DAY• The College allows students andfamilies to move into the residence hallsbeginning at 8am on Monday, August26. (The buildings will not open before8am.) Please keep in mind that sincethere is a 6-hour window for moving in,you may avoid the early rush by arrivingafter 9:30am.• Use the entry to campus listed on page2 to minimize your waiting time and tohelp us manage the traffic flow.• Watch for Campus Police Officers andfor student leaders in Orientation T-shirtswho will be available to greet you, guidepedestrian and vehicular traffic, andanswer any of your questions.• Eat a good breakfast in the morning.This will be a long and busy day.• Carrying those suitcases and boxescan be tiring. Bring a snack and somebottled water with you.• Pack smart—make all items light enoughto carry easily as each hall has oneelevator that will be busy on move-inday.• Contact your roommate(s) prior toopening day to talk about what itemsthey are bringing to campus to avoidhaving two refrigerators or TV’s takingup valuable room space.• Move-in day is exciting and special; youmay want to have a camera accessibleso you can capture a memorablemoment of your arrival at WellesleyCollege.• Bring this planning guide along with you!WHEN YOU ARRIVE• Proceed directly to the designateddrop-off area for your building where youwill unload the vehicle and bring yourbelongings up to your room.• Residence hall room keys andOrientation arrival packets will bedistributed to students in each residencehall when you check in.• Student leaders in Orientation T-shirtsimprinted with the “From Roots toBranches” logo will be available at eachresidence hall to guide you.• Plan to leave your car in the drop-offarea for no more than 15 minutes.• After unloading, cars should be movedto designated parking areas, asindicated on page 3 of this guide.GETTING HEREFrom Logan AirportIf you arrive at Logan Airport in Boston onMonday, August 26, there are several ways toget to campus:• The Logan Express offers bus servicebetween Logan Airport and Shoppers’World, a shopping plaza located innearby Framingham. From there,you may take a Wellesley Collegevan directly to your residence hall oncampus. There is a $10 charge perperson for the College van service andprior reservations are required.
