PLANNING YOUR DAY• The <strong>College</strong> allows students andfamilies to move <strong>in</strong>to the residence hallsbeg<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g at 8am on Monday, August26. (The build<strong>in</strong>gs will not open before8am.) Please keep <strong>in</strong> m<strong>in</strong>d that s<strong>in</strong>cethere is a 6-hour w<strong>in</strong>dow for mov<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>,you may avoid the early rush by arriv<strong>in</strong>gafter 9:30am.• Use the entry to campus listed on page2 to m<strong>in</strong>imize your wait<strong>in</strong>g time and tohelp us manage the traffic flow.• Watch for Campus Police Officers andfor student leaders <strong>in</strong> Orientation T-shirtswho will be available to greet you, guidepedestrian and vehicular traffic, andanswer any of your questions.• Eat a good breakfast <strong>in</strong> the morn<strong>in</strong>g.This will be a long and busy day.• Carry<strong>in</strong>g those suitcases and boxescan be tir<strong>in</strong>g. Br<strong>in</strong>g a snack and somebottled water with you.• Pack smart—make all items light enoughto carry easily as each hall has oneelevator that will be busy on move-<strong>in</strong>day.• Contact your roommate(s) prior toopen<strong>in</strong>g day to talk about what itemsthey are br<strong>in</strong>g<strong>in</strong>g to campus to avoidhav<strong>in</strong>g two refrigerators or TV’s tak<strong>in</strong>gup valuable room space.• <strong>Move</strong>-<strong>in</strong> day is excit<strong>in</strong>g and special; youmay want to have a camera accessibleso you can capture a memorablemoment of your arrival at <strong>Wellesley</strong><strong>College</strong>.• Br<strong>in</strong>g this plann<strong>in</strong>g guide along with you!WHEN YOU ARRIVE• Proceed directly to the designateddrop-off area for your build<strong>in</strong>g where youwill unload the vehicle and br<strong>in</strong>g yourbelong<strong>in</strong>gs up to your room.• Residence hall room keys andOrientation arrival packets will bedistributed to students <strong>in</strong> each residencehall when you check <strong>in</strong>.• Student leaders <strong>in</strong> Orientation T-shirtsimpr<strong>in</strong>ted with the “From Roots toBranches” logo will be available at eachresidence hall to guide you.• Plan to leave your car <strong>in</strong> the drop-offarea for no more than 15 m<strong>in</strong>utes.• After unload<strong>in</strong>g, cars should be movedto designated park<strong>in</strong>g areas, as<strong>in</strong>dicated on page 3 of this guide.GETTING HEREFrom Logan AirportIf you arrive at Logan Airport <strong>in</strong> Boston onMonday, August 26, there are several ways toget to campus:• The Logan Express offers bus servicebetween Logan Airport and Shoppers’World, a shopp<strong>in</strong>g plaza located <strong>in</strong>nearby Fram<strong>in</strong>gham. From there,you may take a <strong>Wellesley</strong> <strong>College</strong>van directly to your residence hall oncampus. There is a $10 charge perperson for the <strong>College</strong> van service andprior reservations are required.
