AcknowledgementsThis report is a summary of Rapid Rural Appraisals (RRAs) conducted in 17 districts and Participatory RuralAppraisals (PRAs) conducted in five districts of Nepal. Information was collected during September/ October1999 and April/May 2001 for the RRAs and PRAs, respectively.
