Thead, titled Millennials Speak, was released ata book launch event which was hosted by the WorldBank in Washington, DC’s Youth to Youth community<strong>and</strong> the Young Professionals in Foreign <strong>Policy</strong>. Thevolume is a collection of 21 essays that seek to capturea snapshot of millennial generation views on majorglobal political <strong>and</strong> policy issues.April 23, 2013 – Lyusyena Kirakosyan’s article,“Linking Disability Rights <strong>and</strong> Democracy: Insights FromBrazil” was published in Societies Without Borders(<strong>Volume</strong> 8, <strong>Issue</strong> 1).Recent EventsJune 10, 2013 – Elise Witt, singer, composer, recordingartist, educator, <strong>and</strong> community activist from Atlantavisited <strong>Virginia</strong> <strong>Tech</strong> at the invitation of Center <strong>for</strong> theArts, the School of Per<strong>for</strong>ming Arts <strong>and</strong> Cinema <strong>and</strong>the Interact Studio of the <strong>Institute</strong> <strong>for</strong> Creativity, Arts,<strong>and</strong> <strong>Tech</strong>nology to provide a series of community-basedevents <strong>for</strong> singers of any <strong>and</strong> all skill levels.
