The University may request further information about the nature orcontext of an applicant’s criminal record.4.0 Opportunities to visit4.1 University open daysApplicants who wish to visit the School of Mathematics may book an appointment bycontacting the Postgraduate Admissions Officer using the contact details given at the end ofthis document. Open Days are held in February and November each year.The University of Leeds will also be holding a postgraduate open day in February 2014. Thisevent gives prospective postgraduates the opportunity to find out more about life as astudent at Leeds; view the University’s extensive facilities; and meet with teaching staff andstudents.5.0 Scholarships & fundingThe University of Leeds currently offers a wide range of scholarships and studentships thatprovide funding for students to undertake postgraduate study at the university. These rangefrom partial funding towards academic fees to fully funded awards which also provide a livingallowance.5.1 University ScholarshipsPostgraduate students at Leeds benefit from around £10m of funding from the Universityand externally.
