Science Notebook: 3 ring binder, at least 2”thick2. Notebook pouch that contains:Pencil or pen and a highlighterPack of colored pencilsScotch tapeScissors (school approved)2 glue sticksPackage of Post-It Notes (3” X 3”)3. Notebook paper4. A set of headphones (ear buds) that you can plug into a laptop5. A jump drive/USB to save class work on6. An open mind and a positive attitudeOptional: A wireless mouse, hole puncher that fits in your 3-ring binder, and mini-staplerOTHER ITEMS NEEDED FOR THE CLASSROOM(These are not mandatory but are needed in class this year, so if you could help out, then bring some in )HAND SANITIZER, HAND WASHING SOAP, PLASTIC CUPS (ANY SIZE), CLOROX (OR GENERIC)CLEANING WIPES, PAPER TOWELS, BOX OF TISSUES, ZIPLOC BAGS (LARGE AND SMALL)Classroom Rules:• Be RESPECTFUL!o This includes being respectful to the teacher and to other students.Students are to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner in theclassroom and follow all instructions given by the teacher.o This also includes being respectful to the equipment we will be using inclass this year. We will be working with expensive, high tech Probeware,laptops and other electronic devices. No horse playing!!• Be on time to class and remain in your seat and on task until the end of class bello This means you should already be seated and ready to begin class whenthe bell rings.• No food or gum allowed in the classroom (unless I give it to you). Bottled wateris acceptable.• CLEAN UP. CLEAN UP. CLEAN UP. Don’t leave any trash or lab materialsout in the classroom. We do a lot of messy labs in this class and you will beexpected to pick up after yourself! This includes pushing in lab stools andputting supplies up!!• No locker passes. It clearly states in the student code of conduct that students willnot be given passes during class time to go to their lockers. DON’T ASK! Cometo class prepared.• COMPUTER USE: Since the use of assigned classroom laptops is an integralpart of this course, it is important to know that you will be expected to use themappropriately and only for their intended purpose (DO NOT go on websites thatyou are not instructed to, etc.). Any misuse of computers will be considered as“defiance of authority” and a referral to the office will be written!
