Marla SlottL<strong>and</strong>scape paintings <strong>and</strong> SculptureMarla is an experienced painter with a Mastersdegree in the Plastic Arts from the Universityof Indiana. She has been painting for some 35years, twenty-one of them in the Arava. Sheprimarily paints the beautiful Arava l<strong>and</strong>scapein aquarelle <strong>and</strong> oil colors. She numbers <strong>and</strong>signs prints of some of her aquarelle paintings,painted in archived colors on acid-freewatercolor paper.In addition to painting, Marla sculpts withscraps that she finds in the <strong>desert</strong> incombination with ceramic sculptures.Shizi Levy WeisMood LampsShizi Levy Weis, a native of Israel <strong>and</strong> the <strong>desert</strong>,is a member of Kibbutz Ketura in the Arava.She works with different materials - stained glass,mosaic, flower arrangement.
