2013 Ce n t e n n i a l Celebration Di n n e rOver 500 SigEps and guests packed into the main ballroom atthe Knoxville Convention Center to celebrate <strong>Tennessee</strong>Alpha’s 100th Anniversary. Kelly Williams ‘92 served asEmcee, Gordon Goodgame ‘55 gave the invocation, and Bill Reed ‘59led the singing <strong>of</strong> the anthem. Highlights from the program includeda video highlighting our first 100 years; a special presentation <strong>of</strong> apainting <strong>of</strong> our first initiate, Jimmy Meaders, by Brother Bill Ewing‘69; and the presentation <strong>of</strong> a certificate <strong>of</strong> appreciation to GeorgiaAlpha for their role in our founding in 1913 by chapter presidentWes Quarles ‘14.Our guest speaker, Grand President Bert Harris (FL Alpha), presentedTN Alpha with a proclamation by the National Board <strong>of</strong> Directors aswell as a personal gift <strong>of</strong> a large gavel commemorating our centennial.It was an outstanding program and a fitting tribute to our CentennialCelebration.
