Prior to the shooting, policehad been called to a domestic disturbance at the apartment, but the officers left becausethey could not find Ricky Nunn. Three minutes later, he returned and killed his wife, andinjured her cousin, Alishia Batiste. A neighbor who heard the shootings called the police.When officers returned to the apartment, Ricky Nunn shot himself in the head. He laterdied at a local hospital.
