• Counting Color Guard Twirls is very simple. All you need to do isslowly count, starting at 1, when you begin the twirl until the twirl isover• Most of the Color Guard moves at my High School were either 2, 4, 8,12 or 16 Counts (most common were 8 or 12 Counts)Examples• Drop Spin – 8 Counts• Butterfly – 4 Counts (left &right side)• Double Butterfly – 8 Counts• Around the World – 8 Counts
