My works express my feelings about “home” and its meaningto me. They document a time when I dreamt of buying a house (Hope),while living with my three kids and father in his small two-bedroombungalow (Full House). They also reflect my overwhelming desire asa mother to provide for my children (Wishes), to persevere at all costs,and ultimately to secure a home of our own (Dream House)..........................................The winner of several awards and MinnesotaState Arts Board grants, Caprice Glaser earnedher B.F.A. from the School of the Art Instituteof Chicago. Since returning to Minnesota inthe mid-1970s, she has worked in a variety ofmedia and exhibited throughout the state andWisconsin. Glaser also has received a numberof commissions and been an instructor at theMinnetonka Center for the Arts and the PerpichCenter for Arts Education. The mother of threegrown children, she lives in St. Paul and has astudio downtown.
