Hequickly mastered the holy Quran under the supervision ofhis uncle Serigne Amsatou Diakhate and demonstrated adeep understanding of (Quran, Hadiths, and ReligiousSciences).We remembered him as a multi-dimensional a simple manin the gestures, authentic in his dressing style, and veryjovial in his courteousness and helpfulness towards others.His speeches are still relevant in its trustfulness andguidance for the community. He indicated that no one wasabove the law, regardless of the family relationships, andno one could get his protection unless on the right path ofAllah. He said in one of his memorable speech that aMuslim should remain steadfast with the Truth at all time.Twenty years after his disappearance, Baye Lahat, as hewas respectfully called by the Murids, remains still popularand charismatic, as his illustrious father and masters hadhoped.Path to the caliphateSheikh Ahmadou Bamba teaches to his disciples toexclusively worship Allah (SWT), the ONE, and to practicetheir faith in conformity with the Sunnah. Mastering thesacred scriptures (Qur’an, Hadiths, religious sciences,etc…) is obviously an essential prerequisite according tothe Sheikh, who in the same way considered making anhonest living through work as a sanctifying dogma.Islamic tenets.As a farmer, Sheikh Abdul Ahad displayed outstandingagro business management skills and demonstrated ahandling of farming tools skillfully. He consistentlyexceeded his production goals in his farms of Touba Belel,Bokk Barga, Kadd Balooji, and Mbara Dieng and wasrewarded as the top farmer in the country.He was also a trader but never applied or collected interest,in compliance with Islamic law. . His entrepreneurship spiritled him to work in transportation and logistics. Such ardorto be a hands on manager, indicates, obviously hiswillingness to have licit sources of income, according toHighlights of Abdou Ahad’s CaliphateUpon accessing the caliphate on August 6, 1968, SheikhAbdul Ahad, unknown to most disciples set the tone of hisleadership.
