These changes are in accordance with UCR guidelines, and willaffect your ability to compare the numbers published in the 1998 through 2010 reports with previously published data.
Ashland Police Departmentresponded to 27,045 911calls this year. Violent crimewas a notable decrease lastyear, where crime preventionemphasis was placed in theseareas. Continued focus on theftrelated crimes, substantialdecline from the previous yearyet again.We are also pleased toreport the reduction in vehcilecollisions during 2012, whichhave decreased by 125 reports.Injury collisions also decreasedby 21 reports and we had nofatal collisions in 2012.
