29The Face-Direction LineThe Face Direction Line is the little line slashed across the shoulders that shows the turning of the headand face in different directions (formerly called the Neck Line). The Face Direction Line is rarely writtenin DANCE WRITING ® Shorthand. It is usually written-in after the Shorthand is completed.When movements of the head and neck are important to the choreography, it may be necessary to writethe Face Direction Line.
