Washroom & Room Signage Specs (see enclosed for more detail):Signage to identify rooms or spaces shall: have tactile lettering where the top letter line does not exceed 60 inches from the floor – tactilecharacters shall be raised at least 0.03 inches above the surface, be between 0.63 inches and 2inches high, be san serif font, be smooth at its edges, be accompanied by Grade 1 Braille andhave a tonal contrast of at least 70% with the signage background be located on the wall adjacent to the latch side of the door, in case of double doors, be locatedon both sides adjacent to the door hinges and clear of the door swing be located at a height with the horizontal centerline 47 inches to 59 inches above the floor orground surface have a clear wall area around the sign of at least 75 mm wide where possible, have the leading vertical edge 5.5 inches to 6.3 inches from the edge of the doorframe, or where there is no wall space adjacent to the latch side of the door, including multipleleafdoors, be located on the nearest adjacent wallPlease clarify the following: Is there access to the basement level from the exterior? Is there elevator access or ramp access to the basement level?I have performed a pretty thorough review, but Staff are obligated to present this Project to theAccessibility Advisory Committee to allow the members to provide input.
