Generally, other submittal items can bereviewed by the Contractor's Quality ControlSystem. Only add a “G” to an item, if the submittalis sufficiently important or complex in context ofthe project.For submittals requiring Government approval on Armyprojects, a code of up to three characters withinthe submittal tags may be used following the "G"designation to indicate the approving authority.Codes for Army projects using the ResidentManagement System (RMS) are: "AE" forArchitect-Engineer; "DO" for District Office(Engineering Division or other organization in theDistrict Office); "AO" for Area Office; "RO" forResident Office; and "PO" for Project Office.
