He has lived in Los Angeles since he was 27.Richard was a communications officer for three years in the MarineCorps, stationed at boot camps in Okinawa, Hong Kong, Japan, andVietnam. He got honorable discharge in 1972. He later did some jailtime for fighting, and he was not sure if he had done any drugs. “Iwas always in board & care homes because I was homeless.
