Boll (A&S ’57, Grad ’61), professor emeritus for Parks College of Engineering and Aviation, died Aug. 4. He was 71. Mr. Boll, who was paralyzed from the shoulders down, began teaching math at Parks College in 1961 and retired in 1997. Dr. Elias Chiasson, retired English professor, died July 3. He was 85. He taught at Saint Louis University from 1953-1987, when he retired as a full professor. Dr. Chiasson was known for his studies of Jonathan Swift and for his high expectations of students. Dr. Ralph A. Kinsella Jr. (A&S ’39, Med ’43), professor emeritus for the department of internal medicine, died July 29. He was 84. Dr. Kinsella served in the Army during World War II and gave 47 years of service to the University. He was chief of staff at St. Louis City Hospital from 1980-1985 and then became medical director of Saint Louis University Hospital until 1994, when he retired. Mr. John J. Kustura (Parks ’51), professor emeritus for Parks College of Engineering and Aviation, died July 26. He was 74. Mr. Kustura gave 36 years of service to the University. He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the Air Force. Dr. Margarete W. Moon, professor emeritus of modern and classical languages, died July 23. She was 80. Dr. Moon had been on the faculty for 29 years when she retired in 1985. She established master’s degree programs in both French and German literature at SLU and, for years, chaired the University’s Fulbright committee. Dr. Stanislaw Vincenz, former professor of geophysics, died Sept. 30. He was 88. Dr. Vincenz joined Saint Louis University in 1961 and retired in 1985. He researched paleomagnetology and plate tectonics for two decades and published several articles in scientific publications. Mr. Richard S.
