It has been a privilege serving as sports editor and columnist
In my time at Hoban I
participated competitively
only in golf, but as I look
back, I sure wish I would have
tried other things. Lacrosse, for
example, would certainly have
been a very enjoyable sport to
play, had I given it a shot prior
to just a few months ago.
It is often said that the
older you get, the wiser you
become. I certainly agree.
Over the past four years I
think I have grown into a much
stronger and more intelligent
individual. Being cut from the
golf team sophomore year was
Owning my own hotel, country
the best thing that could have
happened to me. It allowed me
to push myself to improve my
game, and strive to make the
cut the following season.
Spending my junior season of
golf on junior-varsity, I was able
year that I will never forget. I
No other word can describe
my performance on district day
into the person I am
today.
The ability to write this
sports column is a privilege
that I cherish, especially
