Congratulations
to...Students from Year 10 who took part in and won a recent Cambridge
University Challenge Day. This involved a poetry workshop and maths
challenge, presentations by University Staff, interactive sessions and
information regarding University applications. They also got to tour Cambridge
itself. Well done to Morgan Butt, Harry Griffiths, Catriona Gibbon, Joe Furness,
Tom Hollands, Lottie Adams, Simon Dennis, Christian Styles, Luke Collins and
Emily Collins-Wingate.

contest in which there were over 70 competitors.

Uni-Recycle
Year 10 Geography Students were
pleased to welcome Mr Ian Hextall,
a representative from one of our
chosen charities, WaterAid. He
explained the charity’s philosophy
and talked about its project plans
around the world.
The average spend on uniform and sports
kits over the 11 years a child is at school
is £5,203. However, only 39% of us
consider the environmental impact of
throwing clothes away, with only 16% of
discarded clothes being recycled or reused.
We realise that our students grow out of their uniforms,
and we can now make great use of them in our,
Uni-Recycle. It means they can be made available to
students who forget essential kit or whose clothing is
spoiled for some reason during the college day.
If you have any outgrown Midhurst Rother College uniform which is
no longer of use please send it in to us via our College receptions.

It enhances all learning and presents a
platform for revision, review, research and homework.. If you would like to
learn more about Moodle or have any questions at all about how the system

Mrs Welsman also attends year group open evenings where she is happy to
address any concerns students or parents may have, will take you on a ‘tour
of the site’ and provide literature to help you at home.
