SCRIPTURE *The scriptural reading is (but not in every case) theworshiper’s initial exposure to the sermon that is to come. In most instances, itis read by the pastor, a minister, or a layperson. This is yet another opportunityfor the congregates to get in tune with the word <strong>of</strong> God, for the purpose <strong>of</strong>setting the Biblical stage upon which the sermon is focused.The Holy Scriptures, inspired <strong>of</strong> God, are designed to guide us in ourefforts to order our lives in accordance with the will <strong>of</strong> God.
