Rent AdviceAlternative benefit payment methodThe Government haveintroduced a new SinglePayment Card.Citibank, working with PayPoint, has beencontracted to provide the Simple Paymentservice across the UK from late summer 2012.The Simple Payment service has beendesigned specifically for those people whoare unable to make use of mainstreamaccounts or the Post Office card account. Oncethe account is set up, tenants can also createa four digit PIN number to access the appso they don’t need to go through a lengthylogin process every time to use it.Being able to make a rent payment from yoursmartphone must be the quickest and mostconvenient way to pay.This is in addition to the many ways thattenants can already pay their rent, fromcalling into our offices to pay cash through toringing our contact centre and paying overthe telephone.inhouse | 15
