ResearchEVMS is the largest biomedical research institution insoutheastern Virginia. More than 100 EVMS faculty membersare engaged in basic and clinical research focused in areaswhere the community has pressing needs.EVMS continually strives to enhance its research enterprise inorder to improve the health of the people of Hampton Roadsand beyond. Canoles Jr. Cancer Research CenterThe center is dedicated to translational research studies thatlead directly to improved care.CONRADThe center focuses on fertility regulation and prevention ofsexually transmitted diseases in developing countries.Glennan Center for Geriatrics and GerontologyThe center conducts research concentrated on the specialneeds of the elderly.Jones Institute for Reproductive MedicineHome of the nation’s first in-vitro fertilization clinic, theinstitute conducts research in menopause, infertility,contraception, pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, and more.Thomas R.
