Key features of the addition andrenovation project will include increased acute andcritical care capacity with a 150-bed patient caretower; a new 85-bed Trauma Emergency Center; aspacious new main lobby that will connect all wingsArchitectural renderings of the new Saint Francis Hospital Trauma Emergency Center and patient tower.of the hospital; a new chapel and convent; clinicaleducation rooms; as well as administrative andphysician office space.Since first opening its doors in early 2008,The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis continuesto champion the health and well-being of children.The 162-bed, 265,765-square-foot Children’sHospital is recognized throughout the area for itsadvanced medical technology and extensive teamof skilled pediatric specialists. The Children’sHospital’s 58-bed Henry Zarrow NeonatalIntensive Care Unit (NICU) opened in fall 2009and provides the most advanced treatmentsand services for premature infants and criticallyill newborns in the region.Saint Francis Hospital South sustains its initialgoal of providing families with quality healthcarein a more accessible location.
