SPACEA TIE fighter heads right for the pirateship, then zoomsoverhead.INT. MILLENNIUM FALCON - GUNPORTSLuke follows the TIE fighter across his field of view, firinglaserbeams from his cannon.EXT. TIE FIGHTERA TIE fighter dives past the pirateship.INT. MILLENNIUM FALCON - GUNPORTSLuke fires at a TIE fighter. At his port, Han follows afighter in his sights, releasing a blast of laserfire. Heconnects, and the fighter explodes into fiery dust. Han laughsvictoriously.EXT. SPACETwo TIE fighters move toward and over the Millennium Falcon,unleashing a barrage of laserbolts at the ship.INT. MILLENNIUM FALCON - GUNPORTSAnother TIE fighter moves in on the pirateship and Luke,smiling, fires the laser cannon at it, scoring a spectaculardirect hit.LUKEGot him! I got him!Han turns and gives Luke a victory wave which Luke gleefullyreturns.HANGreat kid! Don't get cocky.Han turns back to his laser cannon.EXT. SPACETwo more TIE fighters cross in front of the pirateship.INT. MILLENNIUM FALCON - COCKPITWhile Chewbacca manipulates the controls, Leia turns, lookingover her shoulder out the ports.EXT. SPACELEIAThere are still two more of them outthere!A TIE fighter moves up over the pirateship, firing laserblastsat it.INT. MILLENNIUM FALCON - GUNPORTSLuke and Han look into their respective projected targetscreens. An Imperial fighter crosses Solo's port, and Hanswivels in his chair, following it with blasts from his lasercannon. Another fighter crosses Luke's port, and he reactsin a like manner, the glow of his target screen lighting hisface.EXT. SPACEThe TIE fighter zooms toward the pirateship, firingdestructive blasts at it.INT. MILLENNIUM FALCON - GUNPORTSLuke fires a laserblast at the approaching enemy fighter,and it bursts into a spectacular explosion. Luke's projectedscreen gives a readout of the hit. The pirateship bouncesslightly as it is struck by the enemy fire.EXT. SPACE - TIE FIGHTERThe last of the attacking Imperial TIE fighters looms in,firing upon the Falcon.INT. MILLENNIUM FALCON - GUNPORTSolo swivels behind his cannon, his aim describing the arcof the TIE fighter. The fighter comes closer, firing at thepirateship, but a well-aimed blast from Solo's laser cannonhits the attacker, which blows up in a small atomic showerof burning fragments.LUKE(laughing)That's it! We did it!The princess jumps up and gives Chewie a congratulatory hug.We did it!LEIAINT. MILLENNIUM FALCON - PASSAGEWAYThreepio lies on the floor of the ship, completely tangledin the smoking, sparking wires.THREEPIOHelp! I think I'm melting!
