DriveZero-point driveWestfalia Separator Delta basic Z drivesare part of the standard program. Theyfeature a very simple design and aretherefore cheap to purchase and operate.Zero-point drives are used when the solidsvolume is constant, the solids are easy toconvey and the requirements regarding theresidual water content of the solids are notvery stringent, in other words, bowl anddifferential speed regulating facilities arenot necessary. This is because alteration ofthe differential speed can only be achievedby changing the gear transmission or thebowl speed.DriveExchangeable pulley driveWestfalia Separator Delta basic S drivesare also part of the standard program. They are also very cheap to purchase andfeature a simple design. The input shaftof the drive is set in motion by the mainmotor via a second belt drive. This generatesthe differential speed as a function of bowlspeed and gear transmission. This canbe easily changed by replacing the beltpulleys.Two-motor driveDriveWestfalia Separator Delta power M drivesenable the differential speed to beregulated cost-effectively under goodoperating conditions; wide regulatingranges are possible. The secondary motorsets the input shaft of the gear in motionand generates the differential speedas a function of bowl speed and geartransmission. The differential speed caneasily be regulated by changing the motorspeed. Westfalia Separator Delta power Mdrives are used whenever solid volumesfluctuate significantly, when solids areconveyed under difficult conditions andwhen particularly stringent requirementsare applicable with regard to residualwater content.8Westfalia Separator
