Plourd had a great .005 light and ran arespectable 8.987/141.47. Thomas was never a factor as his .101 light gave Plourd a basically unbeatablepackage to work with.Plourd had a great day as he also went to the quarter-finals in the dragster-dominated 8.90 Super Comp classbefore losing to eventual winner Jack Frickman. In the Super Pro bracket class DaveMorgan of Concord, Calif., defeated Nevada favoriteJustin Lamb from nearby Henderson NV.
