PHILIPPINE updateAWAF – Philippines ProjectThe year 2012 brings new hope,zeal and enthusiasm to the localstaff after witnessing God’smiraculous leading in the past yearsof its existence in the Philippines.Renewed interest and continuingcommitment from Adventist WorldAviation in the United States to guideand assist in the Philippines excites ourlocal staff. With their guidance therewill be a complete and whole-hearteddedication to following God’s plan infinishing His work in this corner ofthe world.The Philippines is strategicallylocated to be a mission aviationtraining site <strong>for</strong> a variety of reasons,including the fact that the Englishlanguage is commonly spoken inthe country. The cost effectivenessof training missionary pilots andmechanics <strong>for</strong> deployment, not only inAsia and beyond, is something <strong>for</strong> usto think and pray about.The many islands that compose thePhilippines are a logistical challengein deploying missionaries and ferryingsupplies that AWA is divinely ordainedto fulfill. AWA has a specific role inthe preaching of the Gospel to everytongue, kindred and nation. AWA is anactive supporting ministry in the NorthPhilippine Union Conference.UPCOMING EVENTSFirst Annual Fly-In and Air ShowYou are cordially invited toAdventist World Aviation’s firstannual Fly-In (Drive-In) andAir Show, the weekend of May 25-27(Friday-Sunday) on Memorial Dayweekend. The event will be hostedat the McDermott Airpark, located at31WI in Sullivan, WI.Sabbath services will be conductedat the Waukesha Seventh-dayAdventist Church. Sabbath Schoolbegins at 9:30 a.m. and church servicesbegin at 11:00 a.m. The guest speaker<strong>for</strong> the church service is Elder RobertFolkenberg, Sr., <strong>for</strong>mer GeneralConference president and director ofShareHim. During this service will youhear about the importance of missionaviation service and how this type ofministry will help finish God’s workby taking missionaries into unenteredareas of the world.A pancake breakfast will be heldat the airpark, beginning at 8:00 a.m.Your donation of $8 per plate willgo to enhance the global mission ofAWA’s ministry.
