We advise campers to bring a clearlylabeled swimsuit, towel, hat, sunscreen, water bottle,and appropriate outdoor apparel and footwear asrequired. <strong>Camp</strong>ers need to be comfortable carryingtheir own belongings. Please send your child with amorning and afternoon snack, as well as lunch.(Please note: the Snack Shack at the Los Cerritos<strong>Boys</strong> & <strong>Girls</strong> Club is open daily from 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM.CALLI NG ALL LEADERSCounselor-In-Training (CIT) Program (Grades: Entering 10th – 12th) To be considered for the CITeProgram, each participant must attend one of the Orientation Sessions listed below:CHOICE #1:{ Date: Saturday, June 5th Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Location: Los Cerritos <strong>Boys</strong> & <strong>Girls</strong> Club {CHOICE #2: Date: Wednesday, June 16th Time: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PMLocation: Los Cerritos <strong>Boys</strong> & <strong>Girls</strong> ClubThe Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program focuses on helping participants discover their full potential asleaders. The program is designed specifically for those who want to start the process of becoming a campcounselor, which is an exciting, fun and challenging experience. Participants in the CIT program will attain valuablejob-specific training that will give them a head start on a bright future in summer camp. CIT’s assist counselors in providing a fun and safecamp environment for the campers. Key components of this program include standard first aid, behavior management techniques, supervisiontraining, and basic activity design. There will be daily mentoring and feedback, as well as the opportunity to discuss experiences with peers.There is NO CHARGE to the CIT participant, yet there are daily expectations and responsibilities. Each participant will be evaluated during eachweek he/she attends camp.
