A FIELD TRIP EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK!For all eight action-packed weeks of Traveling Camp, campers will be entertained with teambuilding activities andpopular, kid-requested field trips.Your camper will enjoy an engaging summer, full of learning and great memories.WE OFFER 8 WEEKS OF TR AVELLI NG CA MPS:WET ‘N WILD CAMPCaution: You will get wet! Suit up for a week ofriding waterslides at Hurricane Harbor, boogieboarding at the beach, splashing into the pool, andgenerally making waves. If you love the water, thenthis camp is for you. Session: 1 (Mon - Fri) 6/14 – 6/18 Fee: $285 per sessionSKATE CAMPRamp up your summer with a week filled with skateparks and fun in the sun. Bring a board and ahelmet and join us as we tour some of the mostwell-known skate parks in Southern California. Alllevels – beginning to advanced – are welcome. Session: 3 (Mon - Fri) 6/28 – 7/2 Fee: $220 per sessionTSUNAMI SPLASH CAMP:Surge through the hot days of summer as we hangout at the beach, make music videos, play somelaser tag, bowl, roller skate, and stay cool at thepool. If you love variety, this is the camp for you. Session: 2 (Mon - Fri) 6/21-6/25 Session: 4 (Tue - Fri) 7/6 – 7/9* Session: 6 (Mon - Fri) 7/19 – 7/23 Session: 8 (Mon - Fri) 8/2 – 8/6 Fee: $190 per session* Camp closed on Monday, July 5, 2010.Extended Care is available. See page 4 for details.FOOD FRENZY CAMPAttention food lovers, this is the camp for you!We willmeet with local chefs, cook a variety of scrumptiousgoodies, and, of course, conduct our annual “FrenchFry Tour” to locate the best fries in town. We advise campers to bring a clearlylabeled swimsuit, towel, hat, sunscreen, water bottle,and appropriate outdoor apparel and footwear asrequired. Campers need to be comfortable carryingtheir own belongings. Please send your child with amorning and afternoon snack, as well as lunch.(Please note: the Snack Shack at the Los CerritosBoys & Girls Club is open daily from 4:00 PM – 4:30 PM.CALLI NG ALL LEADERSCounselor-In-Training (CIT) Program (Grades: Entering 10th – 12th) To be considered for the CITeProgram, each participant must attend one of the Orientation Sessions listed below:CHOICE #1:{ Date: Saturday, June 5th Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Location: Los Cerritos Boys & Girls Club {CHOICE #2: Date: Wednesday, June 16th Time: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PMLocation: Los Cerritos Boys & Girls ClubThe Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program focuses on helping participants discover their full potential asleaders. The program is designed specifically for those who want to start the process of becoming a campcounselor, which is an exciting, fun and challenging experience. Participants in the CIT program will attain valuablejob-specific training that will give them a head start on a bright future in summer camp. CIT’s assist counselors in providing a fun and safecamp environment for the campers. Key components of this program include standard first aid, behavior management techniques, supervisiontraining, and basic activity design. There will be daily mentoring and feedback, as well as the opportunity to discuss experiences with peers.There is NO CHARGE to the CIT participant, yet there are daily expectations and responsibilities. Each participant will be evaluated during eachweek he/she attends camp.
