Gregov, is the
Artists’ League
Artist of the Month
in August. Her
photographs of
landscapes and
architectural drawings
will be showcased
at Columbia
Bank throughout
the month.
Gregov, a native
of Croatia, and
a naturalized
U.S. citizen, is a
licensed architect
in Washington and
a member of the
American Institute
of Architects (AIA). Her projects range from single family
residences to commercial and institutional projects, including
a 20-year involvement with the Museum of Flight in Seattle.
Lidija and her architect husband Ivo both worked on all three
phases of the Museum: the original Red Barn manufacturing
plant, the Great Gallery steel and glass complex. They also
worked on the café, catering and banquet facilities as well as
the Control Tower Exhibit Building.
Moving to Port Ludlow in 1998, Lidija’s architectural
practice continues. Her photograph portfolio features
landscapes from around the Olympic Peninsula along
with her architectural projects. The photographic images
are basic digital photographs, not enhanced in Photoshop.
Her architectural drawings are computer-generated
AutoCAD drawings. An important element of Lidija’s
work is the use of light to expressively reveal the quality
of the architectural structure and the beauty of nature.
League members and Port Ludlow friends are invited
to view Lidija’s exhibit at the First Friday Reception
on Friday, August 5, 4:00 -5:00 p.m. in the lobby of
Columbia Bank and following from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in
the League’s Art Gallery adjacent to the bank.
Silent Auction Moves Up!
The annual Community Enrichment Alliance (CEA)
Silent Auction has been moved up to Saturday, October
15, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., from its traditional November date.
Now is the time to check your valuables and collections
for items you’d like to donate.
Silent Auction proceeds will benefit the more than 400
women and their families in Jefferson, Clallam and Kitsap
Counties who are helped by the Tri-County Victims of
Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse. Last year, with the
help of the Boeing Bluebills, CEA was able to contribute
over $10,000 to this worthy cause.
CEA members are grateful for the incredible array of
goods and services that fill its auction tables. Gift baskets
are filled with gourmet foods, fine wines, golf outings,
precious collectibles, crystal ware, jewelry, baby gifts
and gift certificates. “Experience” gift certificates will
be displayed as well. This is a wonderful opportunity to
donate generously to this community event and get a head
start with holiday gift giving.

can donate to this truly worthwhile community event.

Mary Stuart, past president of CEA, is co-chairing this
year’s auction with Ginger Steger and Karen Griffith.
