There are many fine golfing facilities in the Shawnee County area.<br />
Whether you’re an amateur or professional player, the courses range in<br />

courses like Berkshire, Cypress Ridge and Shawnee Country Club, the<br />
Shawnee County area is a golfer’s dream.<br />
Firekeeper Golf Course<br />
This challenging course was designed by PGA winner Notah Begay III<br />
and has been named the best course in Kansas by Golfweek Magazine.<br />
It is located in the heart of the Prairie Band Reservation in Mayetta and<br />
is the only golf course in the nation that site entirely on Native American<br />
reservation ground.<br />

Lake Shawnee Golf Course<br />
The 18-hole course at the Lake Shawnee Golf Course facility features<br />
6,357 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 68. It also features<br />
a course rating is 70.0 and it has a slope rating of 118.<br />
• Fairways use Zoysia grass, greens use Bentgrass<br />
